


This island retreat is fairly conservative due to its British heritage. Bathing suits, bare feet, and skimpy clothing should be restricted to the beach. Casual clothes made of light, natural fibers are the best choice for the weather. Restaurants and shops require modest, tidy attire.

The standard current is 230 volts/ 60 cycles, so you will require an adapter to use American appliances. Some of the newer hotels, however, also run 110-volt outlets.

US citizens need proof of citizenship such as a passport, or a birth certificate with a raised seal and a government-issued photo ID. A return or continuing ticket is also required.
There is a $17.00 airport departure tax, an additional $1.50 Environmental Levy.
Returning US residents may bring back $400 worth of duty-free articles for personal or household use. Travelers may also bring back up to 100 non-Cuban cigars, and those of legal age may bring back 32 ounces of alcohol products and 200 cigarettes per person. Works of art are exempt, although a receipt of purchase may be required.
