St Croix, USVI's Topography

St Croix is made up of 82 square miles of rolling former plantation land covered in lush vegetation and fringed with clean, sandy beaches. The western region is mountainous and the central district is a flat, fertile agricultural plain. Point Udall is the easternmost point in the United States.

St Croix, USVI's weather year around

As good as it gets, temperatures average about 77°F from November to February, with minimal variation year-round. In the wet summer, when the mercury tops the 80°Fs, constant trade winds sweep in to soften the climate. The heart of hurricane season lasts from late August to early November, though strikes are rare and there is plenty of advance notice to prepare. When threatened by a hurricane strike, one should expect a 2-day displacement from evacuation to safe return.
