The historic sections of the city are characterized by their Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture. Parks dot the city and grandiose cathedral spires line the horizon. The Czech Republic is situated in central Europe, sharing frontiers with Germany, Poland, the Slovak Republic, and Austria.
