Palm Beach, FL

Palm Beach, FL's Topography

Built upon grassy enclaves surrounded by seashore, mainland Palm Beach County can best be described today as a flat coastal cityscape. The Atlantic on the East and Lake Worth on the West border the island with 47 miles of shoreline.

Palm Beach, FL's weather year around

Sunshine, sunshine, sunshine! Even in the wet summer season, storms are immediately followed by strong sunshine so it is very rare to go a day without several hours perfect for lying on the shore. It's a sub-tropical climate all year, but winters are a bit cooler and less humid than summer, making it the best time of year to visit. The heart of hurricane season lasts from late August to early November, though strikes are rare and there is plenty of advance notice to prepare. When threatened by a hurricane strike, one should expect a 2-day displacement from evacuation to safe return.

Spring 78°.

Summer 85°.

Fall 76°.

Winter 76°F.
