The Mangy Moose opened in 1967 as a spaghetti emporium and has grown over the years to become not just Jackson Hole's but Wyoming's most popular restaurant and saloon. In their quest for antiques and unusual memorabilia, the owners have created one of the most interesting saloons in the west. Their search for new and unusual foods introduced Jackson Hole to its first salad bar, as well as many ethnic dishes and the Hole's first oriental food, though the restaurant's primary focus is and will always be beef!
