Jackson Hole is a high mountain valley, approximately 60 miles long by 20 miles wide. This beautiful Alpine valley, encompassed by the Teton Mountain Range on the west and the Gros Ventre Mountains on the east, is located in the northwestern corner of Wyoming. The town of Jackson is the only incorporated community in Teton County.
Spring brings mild days and cold nights interspersed with rain and occasional snow. Valley lakes thaw by late May and valley wildflowers bloom, peaking in June and July. Summer brings warm days and cool nights, with afternoon thundershowers. Fall sees sunny days and cold nights alternating with rain and snowstorms. In winter, an average of 402 inches of snow falls, laying 10 feet of powder in the mountains and 2-5 feet in the valleys.
