The Hawaiian Islands are an archipelago made up of the tops of the largest volcanic mountain range on Earth. The primary features are 2 magnificent mountain ranges - the Koolaus and the Waianae Mountains. A tropical white-sand coastline and a rugged interior make up the majority of the landscape.
The climate here is outstanding, with mild temperatures throughout the year, moderate humidity, persistent northeasterly trade winds, and gentle showers for 10-15 minutes almost daily, followed immediately by sunshine, which together keep the land green and rich. The air temperature averages from 74°F - 82°F year-round, and the ocean temperature averages 72°F - 76°F. The island experiences less than 2 inches of rainfall per month.
