What to wear in Cayman Islands

Visitors should keep in mind that the Caymans remain a "proper" British Crown Colony and are, therefore, conservative by nature. Public nudity is banned and visitors should not wear bathing suits or scanty clothes beyond the beache. "Please Keep Your Shell On" is a popular phrase. Light, natural fibers are the best choice for the climate, and "smart" casuals are recommended for dinner and churches.

Spoken language in Cayman Islands

English is spoken on all three of the Cayman Islands. Dialects differ from locale to locale, mixing the American southern drawl, the British slur, and a slight Scottish lilt.

Electricity in Cayman Islands

Electricity on the islands is 110 volts AC (60 cycles), so American and Canadian appliances will not need adapters or transformers.
