Bahama Out Islands

Eating out in Bahama Out Islands

Bahamian cuisine has been heavily influenced by the American South and tends to be subtly flavored with a variety of spices. Fresh seafood is a staple of the Bahamian diet, especially conch, a delicious ocean mollusk, which can be eaten raw with lemon, steamed, added to soups, or deep-fried into conch fritters. Pigeon peas and rice figure prominently as a side order. A variety of dining options are available on the Family Islands, although your choices may be more limited on some of the lesser-developed cays.
