Dock's Oyster House, voted the Best Seafood Restaurant in Atlantic City, has had a friendly atmosphere since Harry Dougherty opened his doors in 1897. The seafood is impeccably fresh and delicious, with a seared pepper-crusted tuna that rivals any found in New York. Old Waterway Inn presents inventive dishes as fantastic as the skyline and waterfront views that won the Atlantic City Magazine's Best Restaurant with a View award. Two pool tables, a seasonal clam bar, a rockin' jukebox, and live music every Friday night cater to a rowdy pool hall crowd. Its claim to fame is really that it is just about the only place in town to see a variety of live bands that play original music. There is also performance art, which varies from the unusual to the decidedly strange, but nothing over the edge. The kitchen serves a full menu until midnight, and snack foods until closing.

Atlantic City Marathon
The 4th-oldest marathon in the country, this is a unique event in racing, since there is a variety of running events and a walk scheduled at the same time for a wide range of runners of different ability. Families and running groups from throughout the USA and Canada participate. October.
